Too small
These are too small for my 12# dog's paws. Disappointed because they appear to be balloons and the tops are too tight to get over the dog's paw. I didn't send them back; not worth the postage expense. If anyone else buys these, I would buy a size bigger than what they state.

Better than velcro booties
The right size is the key. I got x-small for my 9mon old Chihuahua,I think I'll try xx-small. The x-small pretty much stayed on,but we would lose one sometimes. A little challenging for one person to put on, two makes it easier.
Great idea. I would make them a little thicker at the bottom. These are better than velcro booties because they stay on. Foot protection for them and a good laugh for you. I feel so much better that my baby can stand in the snow a little longer to do her business.

good boots
Yes they are like balloons. So what? They work. My dog got frostbite the first time we walked this winter-his feet were cherry red. Now we put on the Pawz and he is fine. I can't believe they keep his feet warm but they do. They don't work for every dog but they do for mine. They are definitely worth checking out.

The good, the bad, and the ugly about Pawz. Overall, ok.
The reviews are pretty accurate. The good thing about these boots are that they are thin, and the dog doesn't feel like he's walking on shoes. However, the top of the rubber balloon does pinch, and irritates my dog (a maltepoo). He tries to bite them off. The grip of the rubber band isn't adjustable, so keep that in mind. Also, after about 5 wears, they start getting harder to put on. They're like medical gloves, and after a few wears, the powder coating inside the booties is worn off -- which makes them harder to slip on. The good thing about these is that they are re-usable (we've worn one set at least 15 times thus far and haven't needed another), they are waterproof, and they do not fall off. But I wouldn't consider them suitable for cold weather protection, serious hiking/walking, or long use. We purchased them because we are undergoing cancer treatment and must limit our exposure to dirt and dust (including dirty dog paws) -- and they fit that need very well. Oh, last thing -- I'd order "up" a size if in doubt.

Simple, but they actually work
We live in the Chicago area, and our dog has a long winter if he can't walk. He hates walking without foot protection, because the ice and salt really bothers him. We've tried all kinds of dog boots, including ones with little suspenders, ones with velcro straps, etc. The dog stands stiff legged and doesn't really want to walk. And we can't keep them on him -- they often fall off. Pawz have been a major improvement. They are simple: as others have noted, they are like miniature balloons. They don't look like they would have much thermal protection. But the rubber lip of the balloon really keeps them on (we've never had one come off), and our dog loves to walk with them. My impression is that the dog feels like they aren't there, because they are so thin. They last longer than you might think. Our dog gets dozens of walks from each set, before he puts a nail through the rubber, or the rubber lip separates.
